for the Late Antique and Medieval Postgraduate and Early Careers Conference. The conference is open to all and attendance is free, but we do require those expecting to attend the
conference for the whole day to register.
LAMPS
will be hosting a bus trip to medieval sites in East Lothian on Saturday, April
18th from 1:00 - 6:00pm. Limited spaces are still available; please note if
interested.

LAMPS is pleased to announce that our keynote speaker will be Dr David Caldwell!Dr Caldwell is currently the President of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and the Director of the Fife Cultural Trust, as well as Vice President of the Society of Post-Medieval Archaeology. Before retiring in 2012, Dr Caldwell worked for 38 years at the National Museum of Scotland. When he retired he was the Keeper of Archaeology, as well as Scotland and Europe. His current research relates to Medieval and Post Medieval Scotland, and his most recent publication, which was co-published by the National Museum of Scotland and the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, is The Lewis Chessmen: New Perspectives, which he co-edited with Mark Hall (Perth Museum & Art Gallery).
